SPEARHEADS GLOBAL EXECUTIVE STRATEGY SURVEY

The deadline for participation is June 28, 2013.  The survey data, conclusions and results will be compiled into a white paper that will be sent to all participants.

The aim of this research is to examine the tenure of CEOs in Finnish listed companies during the period 1990-2011. There were 38 companies, which were listed in the Helsinki Stock Exchange during the entire period. The CEOs’ tenures, personnel, turnover, end EBIT figures were analysed for this research in order to find out if we can make difference from the CEO tenure and companies’ financial performance.

One such survey was carried out in October 2012 in Poland. Almost 1,000 top executives took part in the survey. The survey was carried out in Polish and was the first such survey carried out by the Stanton Chase Warsaw office. We are pleased with the high response rate and delighted to share the results.

The results closely correlate with the insights gained by Stanton Chase executive search consultants and specialists in their day to day contacts with the leading executives in Poland.

This survey consisted of 23 multiple choice questions in three different categories. Respondents were asked to give their opinions on:

• the current economic situation and outlook
• personal career drivers
• whether top Polish managers of today are Euro class.

The respondents were also representative of the key business industry sectors including Consumer Products and Services, Technology, Industrial, Life Sciences and Healthcare, Logistics and Transportation, Natural Resources and Energy, Financial Services, Professional Services, Government, Education and Non Profit.

In a recent ceremony with the presence of more than  100 top HR professionals, Carlos received the award. The jury justified their choice based on his contribution to the growth of Stanton Chase Portugal in the areas of Executive Search, Talent Management and Executive Coaching and also on his commitment in civic projects and in the promotion of Human Capital Management in Portugal.

Carlos Sezões, 37, partner at Stanton Chase since May 2010, has been working for over a decade in the areas of Human Resources consultancy, particularly in projects of Executive Search, Talent Management, Executive Coaching and Employer Branding.

Simpson has over the past decade developed an enviable network of significant clients at Director, CEO and board level in South Africa and in other parts of Africa. His focus has been in the logistics and transportation, financial services, technology and professional services industries. Many of the significant placements he has successfully concluded have required him to source and select qualify diversity candidates in these industries, all of whom have gone on to make substantial contributions over time, in the organisations they joined.

Simpson co-founded Stanton Chase Johannesburg in April 2006, and seven years later, the firm continues to enjoy steady growth locally. He is Managing Director of the office and was proud to accept the challenge to assume the position of GPL: Logistics and Transportation earlier this year.

Prior to joining Stanton Chase, Griswold was a Managing Director of an Atlanta-based boutique executive search firm focused on the Aerospace, Defense and National Security market space.

In his aerospace and defense industry career, he served as a business development leader for L-3 Communications.  Griswold was responsible for developing new markets and executing business growth with emerging land and air display technologies while growing the business with existing products and services in adjacent market sectors.

Additionally, Griswold was an integral member of the marketing and business development team for Honeywell Defense & Space, a global supplier of integrated avionics, engines, mechanical systems and service solutions for the U.S. Department of Defense, the defense industry prime contractors and the industrial supply base. At Honeywell, Griswold initiated, developed and conducted high profile, solution based commercial, aerospace and defense sales campaigns targeting companies with annual revenues of $10 million to $25 billion. During his career with Honeywell, Griswold was recognized often for his sales and marketing achievements including ten (10) Top Performers awards and twice being named to the prestigious Honeywell President’s Club.

Following graduation, Griswold began his sales and marketing career with Eastman Chemical Products where he quickly rose to become a Regional Account Leader responsible for sales and customer account management in Minneapolis. In that capacity he developed and managed key customer accounts throughout the United States and coordinated regional and national sales efforts.

Griswold graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering. He and his wife Tweedie have three sons and reside in Roswell, GA.

The CSR in Action programme, designed by the CSR Division of Al Ahli Group, in collaboration with the U.S. Department of State’s Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI), and Stanton Chase International, endeavoured to develop and enhance the practice and awareness of CSR activities among practitioners in the UAE and simultaneously augment student conceptual understanding. Through capacity building mechanisms, the project engaged the Private Sector, Academia, and Government entities in formulating strategies that are more responsive to community needs.

The workshop was organized by Stanton Chase Prague (www.stantonchase.com) and Mg Consulting (www.Mgconsulting.info).

As during the first workshop, the participants came from major international and local companies from segments such as Technology, Consumer Products, Retail and Finance.

The idea of the workshop was to think about both, how to find the right talent and how to involve the newcomers into the current team and adapt them efficiently so they quickly become useful members of the team.

The whole meeting was in a friendly and interactive manner. We tried to involve all the participants as much as possible into our discussions and mini-workshops. It was interesting to watchtheindividual approach of HR Managers from various market segments. Every segment has its specifics, but finally we agreed that we face very similar HR issues every day. The participants also appreciated an innovative approach on how to work with people, recruitment methodologies comparison and differences between generations.

The workshop was finished with a good lunch and a promise that we will meet again.
